The Problem

Engineering teams scaffolding modern full-stack JavaScript applications consistently spend their first sprint on infrastructure rather than business logic — wiring up authentication, configuring API routing, establishing TypeScript conventions, setting up Docker environments, and defining microservice boundaries. This time cost is repeated across every new project, and the resulting boilerplate quality varies team by team, creating long-term maintenance inconsistencies.

My Approach

Designed a production-grade full-stack template built around modern JavaScript with microservice architecture as a first-class concern. The template establishes opinionated, high-quality defaults for every common concern a production service requires: - A modular service boundary model that separates concerns cleanly without over-engineering - TypeScript throughout with strict compiler settings and shared type definitions across service boundaries - Pre-configured authentication, API routing, and middleware layers - Docker Compose for local multi-service development parity - PostgreSQL as a database default with ORM integration - CI/CD scaffolding ready for Vercel or cloud deployment pipelines The architecture prioritises scalability: each service is independently deployable and the template is designed to be cloned and extended without carrying dead weight from use cases that don't apply.

Results & Impact

A comprehensive, immediately deployable enterprise full-stack template that eliminates the first-sprint infrastructure tax for new JavaScript projects. Teams can fork the template and start writing business logic from day one, with production-grade architecture, typing, and deployment scaffolding already in place.
